When Eight Bells Toll (1971)
Director: Etienne Périer
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Adapted by Alistair MacLean from his own novel, this has young Hopkins as a secret service agent investigating the disappearance of gold bullion from vessels in the Irish Sea, with shipping magnate Hawkins apparently up to no good. It's a decent production job if you can work up any interest in this sort of espionage thriller. Great Panavision location photography by Arthur Ibbetson.Author: TJ
