From Time Out Film Guide

Three transvestites play at being women playing at being Women. Candy tries for a job as an actress, but has a hard time avoiding the casting couch. Holly plays a spaced-out model who ends up on the Bowery. Jackie ends up looking after the kids. Some find the film anti-women in its parody of the notion of a women's movement...but after all, who better equipped to depict those male fantasies about women than transvestites?
