The Dark Avenger (1955)
Director: Henry Levin
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
The sets left at Borehamwood after MGM's Ivanhoe provided the excuse for this rather more modest production to nip in and show that even a 46-year-old Flynn still had a modicum of swash and buckle left in him - and if he didn't, there was always the stunt double. The Black Prince (Flynn) must subdue the restless nobles in English-held Aquitaine and defeat the machinations of duplicitous count Finch. Unpretentious hokum, and any movie that casts Michael Hordern as Errol Flynn's dad has to raise a smile, especially since he was two years the star's junior.Author: TJ
