Jerry's first solo pic after his split-up with Dino sends up the '50s 'problem' teenflick something rotten. Lewis is the odd kid out in a gang of urban ruffians, so kindly cop McGavin takes him under his wing - and before long he wants to join the force too. Excessive physical slapstick, gooey sentiment, plain dumbness.
