Desert Victory (1943)
Director: Roy Boulting
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
The full story of Montgomery's World War II campaign in North Africa as recorded by 26 combat cameramen attached to the 8th Army. Boulting's role as director and supervising editor kept him in London, cutting the footage as it was rushed from the front. The result is a classic wartime propaganda job, refreshingly soft in the commentary and unflinching in its visuals.Author: GA
