Destination Gobi (1953)
Director: Robert Wise
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A WWII action movie with a difference, this somewhat implausible adventure has US Navy officer Widmark seconded to the Gobi desert to take charge of a group of American meteorologists at a remote weather station. Ambitiously, he tries to engage local Mongol tribesmen to attack the Japanese, who respond by bombing the station, leaving Widmark and company alone in the wilderness to fend for themselves.Author: TJ
