The Devil and Miss Jones (1941)
Director: Sam Wood
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A pleasant enough script by Norman Krasna lends sparkle to a Capra-corn style comedy about a cantankerous department store tycoon seeing the light when, in an attempt to put down a labour dispute, he disguises himself as a worker. Coburn is fine as the converted boss, Arthur is her usual professional self as the committed shopgirl with a heart of gold, but Cummings' wooden performance and Wood's stolid direction are something of a let-down.Author: GA
