Dirt (2001)
Director: Michael Covert, Trace Fraim
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Quirky US indie fare, with cultish aspirations and more than a nod to both David Lynch and the Coen brothers. We're down Texas way for an everyday tale of kidnappings and bank robbery, when simple brothers Junior and Scooter need to replace their deceased mother in the care stakes. Things inevitably spiral. There's not enough going on beyond the reasonably amusing set-up to warrant major attention, but it's diverting enough, nicely played and generally understated.Author: GE
