Les Disparus de Saint-Agil (1938)
Director: Christian-Jaque
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Odd that a charming, facile and wholly unmemorable journeyman like Christian-Jaque (the Vadim of Martine Carol) should have excelled in that most problematic of genres: the children's film. An almost surrealistically creepy thriller set in a boys' school (with faint echoes of Zéro de Conduite) and boasting a cast that would have done credit to a more heavyweight movie, Les Disparus can be recommended to all grown-ups from eight to eighty.Author: GAd
