Don't Knock the Rock (1956)
Director: Fred F Sears
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A swift follow-up to Rock Around the Clock from producer Sam Katzman resulted in this rudimentary teenflick, in which singing sensation Alan Dale returns to his hometown to convince the fuddy-duddy mayor that rock'n'roll is no threat to civilisation, merely the Charleston of its day. Witnesses for the defence: Bill Haley, who does 'Hook, Line and Sinker', and Little Richard, who clinches the argument with 'Tutti Frutti' and 'Long Tall Sally'.Author: TJ
