Doomwatch (1972)
Director: Peter Sasdy
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Spinoff from the muddled ecological teleseries, with the gang of scientists here investigating the effects of a sunken oil tanker on the inhabitants of a remote island off the Cornish coast. Predictably, the serious intentions of the original series have been forsaken on the big screen for a half-baked horror thriller.Author: GA

- Posted on Mar 08 2008 22:29 The subject matter seems run of the mill today, but in 1972 it was probably radical in it's way. The series was better - this is toe-curlingly bad . . . Still, its a real period piece, worth watching for the seventies style production values and unintentional comedy.
