Libby Parsons (Judd) is in prison, wrongly convicted of killing her husband (Greenwood). She's just discovered, however, that he's not dead but making hay under an assumed identity, whereupon one of her fellow inmates - an ex-lawyer who's offed her other half - gives her the legal scoop: 'double jeopardy,' meaning you can't be tried for the same crime twice. Theoretically, then, Libby can serve her time, track the scoundrel down, and blow his brains out while the law stands and looks at its toes. To set her plan in motion, though, she has to break the strictures of her parole, and there's no way her hard-nut supervisor (Jones) is about to let that happen. What follows is an occasionally slick but mostly stupid vehicle for Tommy Lee to play his usual Mr Gruff, and a right old showcase for Judd to show vulnerability, get mad, shoot guns, run around a bit, all with a touch of the maternal thrown in.
