One Rainy Afternoon (1936)
Director: Rowland V Lee
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Lederer causes consternation when he arrives in a cinema after the show has started, sits in the wrong seat, and kisses Lupino (very much the wrong girl) who isn't at all happy about it. That's the set-up in this bubble-headed piece of tosh (from a script by Emeric Pressburger and René Pujol, Monsieur Sans-Gêne, directed by Karl Anton, 1935) which needed a higher voltage cast than the one on offer to charm the viewer in the manner intended. Quite sweet though.Author: TJ
