Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

'The name's Elvis. I'm trying to find my way to Memphis.' Yes, the King has come amongst us again, to improve our souls and do good works. In this uncommonly whimsical picture, Keitel plays either a businessman deranged by the death of his family, or the repository of Elvis's spirit, up and about after a 20-year lay-off. As he heads home to Graceland, he's joined by Schaech (robotic) who nurses a secret grief, and by Fonda as a cheery Marilyn impersonator. The platitudes, the soggy symbolism and cop-out ending are mitigated by Keitel's hardboiled charisma, which survives even a scene where, got up in a jumpsuit and a little cape, he tears into a rendition of 'Suspicious Minds'. Co-exec produced by Priscilla Presley.
