Forget Me Not (1936)
Director: Zoltan Korda, Augusto Genina
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Majestic Italian tenor Gigli was the raison d'être for this soppy sea-going romance, made by the Kordas in simultaneous English and Italian (Non Ti Scordar de Me) versions. Having lost his wife, Gigli is much taken with fellow passenger Gardner and resolves to marry, though the reappearance of her former fiancé is to test their love. Undistinguished elsewhere, but whenever the big man sings you'll understand why he's reckoned one of the greats. Best approached as an addendum to the records for interested fans.Author: TJ
