Four Flies on Grey Velvet (1971)

From Time Out Film Guide

Rock drummer Brandon finds himself at the centre of a blackmail murder mystery in Rome. The script remains a distinct handicap, but Argento's handling of set pieces (mainly a series of elaborate murders) shows flair. A pity that he doesn't spend more time concentrating on heightening the atmosphere of hysteria and menace.
