The Fox (1967)
Director: Mark Rydell
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Overdone adaptation of DH Lawrence's novella, making explicit everything that was implicit in his study of two women living together on an isolated poultry farm (menaced by a marauding fox), and the opposition of one to the marriage of the other. Dullea and Dennis, two of the worst overactors in the business, don't help any; but most of the blame must go to Rydell for his heavily emphatic direction.Author: CPe
