Free Radicals (2003)
Director: Barbara Albert
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
An impressive, thought-provoking film from a young Austrian, this is a tough but tender look at a year in various lives touched by chance and marked by disappointment, compromise, hardship, loneliness, catastrophe, and - just here and there - the hope that provides the will and courage to carry on. It's perhaps a little like Short Cuts, but cooler and a little darker. It's also mercifully untainted by the cruelty and condescension that crept into, say, Seidl's Dog Days.Author: GA
