Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

Aerospace engineer Segal's redundancy puts his and acquisitive wife Fonda's one-up materialism on the line for some incongruous satire; but the easy option lure of crazy comedy soon has them turning ineptly to crime, and the attack on the values they incarnate and so desperately cling to peters out into fuzzy independent/corporate criminal contrasts. Compromised intentions mean that the cynical premise leaks all its acid as we're actually asked to sympathise with the artificial 'poverty' of the executive class. It's the sort of thing that would undoubtedly amuse Norman Tebbitt.
