The Ball (1999)
Director: Dany Deprez
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A pleasant lighthearted children's film about a group of school kids and their fight to save their playground from demolition by the town mayor. A chance meeting with the obligatory old man in the woods proves advantageous to Sophia (and the rest of the neighbourhood) when he lets her borrow his 'magic' football for a few days. For a low key (and presumably low budget) film, the effects are surprisingly well mounted.Author: DA
