Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973)
Director: J Lee Thompson
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
The fifth offshoot from Pierre Boulle's novel, last and worst of the 'Ape' series. It's hampered by a banal script which, bringing the story full circle by way of an uninteresting struggle between warlike gorillas, peaceful chimps and underground mutants, seems reluctant to use the potentials for astute comic strip philosophy that all the other films revelled in to a greater or lesser extent.Author:
