Beginner's Luck (2001)
Director: Nick Cohen, James Callis
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
The world of luvvies, as depicted by these first time film-makers, in a touring theatre production, may be offputting, but there are laughs to be had in the wildly careering road show. Parallels with the play-within-the-film, The Tempest, are portentous, but you have to admire the makers' chutzpah in landing Berkoff - madly OTT as a Soho porn baron - and Delpy, playing a mysterious actress who catalyses relationships within the troupe.Author: OA
