Benefit of the Doubt (1993)
Director: Jonathan Heap
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Paroled wife-murderer (Sutherland) returns to eye-pleasing Cottonwood, Arizona, to haunt his daughter Karen (Irving), 22 years after her testimony put him in jail. He insinuates his way into her life by doting on her 11-year-old son (Strong). While father Frank remains ambiguous, this is mildly unsettling; once he goes loco and killing or terrorising everyone in sight, it loses all credibility. Most contrived.Author: NF
