Better Than Sex (2000)
Director: Jonathan Teplitzky
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Despite decent lead performances, this tedious account of a one-night stand between two self-consciously non-committal types resulting in - to their surprise, if no one else's - lasting romance makes woefully limp entertainment. The film strains to be hip, sexy and modern, but in wanting to have its cake and eat it, the blend of fashionable cynicism and hoary sentimentality ensures that a depressing sense of déjà vu rapidly sets in. As for the excessive use of voice-over, facile 'insights' and tricksy camera angles trying to conceal the stagey mise-en-scène, the less said the better.Author: GA
