Between Friends (1973)
Director: Donald Shebib
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
After days of youthful glory in the '60s as a surfboard champion, a young Californian (Parks) drifts into petty crime. Teaming up in Toronto with an old friend (Shamata), his girl (Bedelia), and her father (Beckman), he plans the big robbery. The tensions among the group, sparked by the inevitable attraction between Parks and Bedelia, gradually emerge and take over. Laconic and low-keyed, set in a decaying winter.Author: CPe
