Beverly Hills Cop II (1987)
Director: Tony Scott
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Whatever was fresh and funny about Murphy's Detroit street cop in the original has disappeared: all of his fast-talking con-man impersonations are uniformly yammering and repetitive. Called off a credit card case in Detroit to help his old LA buddies solve The Alphabet Crimes, Murphy is soon on the track of an illegal arms dealer (Prochnow) and his Bondish hit-lady (Nielsen). Scott's direction is a mixmaster without a compass. Depressing.Author: BC
