Beverly Hills Cop III (1994)
Director: John Landis
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
After a colleague is murdered Detroit cop Axel Foley (Murphy) tracks the killers to - you guessed it! - Beverly Hills. The best screenwriter Steven de Souza can do by way of novelty is to locate the action in an LA amusement park, Wonder World. This is an incredibly cheap looking production. You can see the joins in the matte work; and hear the joins in the dialogue, huge chunks of clumsy exposition in what should be a straightforward thriller. There are germs of interest - America's theme-park culture and obsession with weapons - but on the whole Landis aims for the obvious.Author: TCh
