Writer/narrator Warren Miller has been making ski films in the US for more than 40 years. In this documentary, a clutch of bold American skiers and snow-boarders (prone to pulling faces for the camera) search out slopes far removed from the manicured motorways populated by the rest of us. After a while the mountains tend to merge, and the high-speed wipe-outs begin to lose their bone-crunching impact. Breathtaking camerawork.Author: ASh
