Blood Beach (1980)
Director: Jeffrey Bloom
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Bringing the fear of the thing that may lurk under the water and nibble your toes one step further inland, Blood Beach locates its murderous monster under the sand. Its debt to Jaws is implicit from the setting (seaside town loses tourists and trade) to the music (subterranean bass rumbles signal monster's approach), but the bad-taste jokes and the light-hearted approach inspire laughter, not the thrill of fear. Good, cheap B-movie fun.Author:
