Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

An anthology of three ghost/horror stories, each of them something of a tour de force. The first is gutsy and visceral: a wronged woman returns to haunt the couple who killed her while the wife is in labour. The second is played for black laughs: a drowned husband gets his revenge on his wife and her lover by haunting them as a water spirit (amazing scenes when the lover can't stop drinking, and then can't stop peeing). And the third is sad and elegiac: an unjustly executed acupuncturist uses a 'blood reincarnation' spell to live on as a spirit in order to complete his medical text-book. Horror movie fans will emerge rejuvenated.
