Inevitably scandalous on first appearance, this is actually remarkably coy, a close-cropped mute take on a man's face and upper body as he receives the titular (gay) stimulus below screen. This strategy has been hugely influential and is gender-paralleled directly in Steve Dwoskin's Alone and the current (2002) sex shop hoardings across London of women on the point of climax.
