Boston Kickout (1995)
Director: Paul Hills
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
For disillusioned teenager Phil (Simm) and his three closest pals, 'coming of age' in Stevenage in the late '70s is no picnic. New Town utopianism has given way to an alienated reality of unemployment, violence, crime, alcoholism and drug abuse. The performances are heartfelt, if a little uneven, with Valente's skinhead nutter threatening to steal the show. Shrewdly observed, full of incident and unafraid of emotion.Author: NF
