Bowery to Broadway (1944)
Director: Charles Lamont
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Patchy (and worse) musical set in the naughty nineties, with Oakie and Cook as rival impresarios climbing from beergarden to Broadway. Montez is awful as an exotic European star, Foster not much better doing her operetta bit. But the period numbers are bright, and there is one delightful song-and-dance routine from Donald O'Connor and Peggy Ryan.Author: TM
