Radio personality Levis, who hosted a long-running talent-spotting show on Radio Luxembourg, made an unlikely transition to the big screen in this ramshackle support feature that sat on the shelf for three years before its eventual release in 1951. Levis more or less plays himself, implicated in Buddhist connoisseur Thesiger's search for a trio of valuable brass monkeys, with villainous Lom under suspicion of theft.
