Steve (Crowe) and Monica (Hayek) keep breaking up. Nothing can stop them. They try to make a clean break by getting married, but it doesn't work. Almost the only other thing in the lives of this pair is the camera, with which, admittedly, they have a healthy interaction, inviting it over for dinner, into the shower, or, when apart, gregariously telling it about their feelings. There's hardly any sign of work, friends, family, and no suggestion that social or professional influences inform a relationship. And there's no attempt at rounded storytelling, or any insight into this self-contradictory love affair - merely a skin-deep litany of symptoms.Author: NB

- Posted on Apr 28 2008 02:05 You obviously have never been in a relationship and sadly, you must not have taken any film classes. "Breaking Up" is a real view on relationships between men and women. Relationships can be very confusing and people often wonder what went wrong. I like this movie very much.
