The Bride (1985)
Director: Franc Roddam
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A monster movie with a difference: Roddam's update of the classic The Bride of Frankenstein is not so much a movie, more a monster. Sting looks like he's smelt something rotten (the script?) as Baron Frankenstein, he with other people's bits in his mitts, a man determined to create the perfect bride for his less than perfect monster. Uncertain in tone, uneasy in conception, preposterous as a love story and possessing all the horror of an advert for Holsten Pils, this is perhaps the silliest film of the year.Author: RR
