The Brigand of Kandahar (1965)
Director: John Gilling
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Minor 'Cinema of Empire' episode from the erratic Gilling, who found his happiest niche with Hammer (who produced this) but in their horror mode. India in 1850 provides the backdrop (supposedly, at least, since papier mâché rocks and rural England are much in evidence) for a routine military adventure, with a half-caste officer (Lewis) facing court-martial for cowardice as the natives indicate their restlessness in time-honoured style.Author: PT
