Brother Orchid (1940)
Director: Lloyd Bacon
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Racketeer Robinson, Little John Sarto, takes time out from a life of crime, but when he returns to the fray, he discovers Bogart's now running the old gang and his presence is no longer required. Brother Superior Crisp's monastery provides unlikely sanctuary in this enjoyable, though not unpredictable star comedy made when Bogie's career hadn't yet peaked and he was still doing second-string roles, like tough Jack Buck here.Author: TJ
