Buster's World (1984)
Director: Bille August
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
August's second feature proper is a genial yarn about a freckled boy - Buster Oregon Mortensen, as he likes to announce himself - ambling through the days with his head in the clouds. This means trouble with teachers and the neighbourhood bully, but a generally fanciful outlook, as Buster plies his summer trade as the village delivery boy, with his penchant for magical tricks and surprises. The film, which began as a children's TV series, keeps the right side of cute, and the comedy picks up after a lumbering start. 'Life is really something' is the moral.Author: NB
