Bye Bye Love (1995)
Director: Sam Weisman
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
This anodyne domestic caper is one of those movies where you keep waiting for the ad breaks. The star power is strictly middle-ranking: an ill-at-ease Modine is recently divorced womaniser Dave; remarkably chummy Quaid is recently divorced Vic, stuck in blind-date purgatory; and Reiser is Donny, also recently divorced but still in love with his ex-wife. All three have kids, all three have custody during one weekend of meticulously organised fun and extra-curricular romantic intrigue. It's hard to be much concerned about these plastic people and their travails. Even so, you have to admit a certain grudging admiration for the way the slick construction and the stream of mildly amusing one-liners keep you watching despite yourself.Author: TJ
