Captain Ron (1992)
Director: Thom Eberhardt
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Would-be seadog Short inherits old boat and sets sail for adventure in the Caribbean only to have sozzled captain Russell land the whole crew in deep trouble. Queasy ocean-going comedy, not helped by Kurt's Robert Newton impersonation.Author: TJ

- Posted on Jan 09 2008 21:46 This movie has more than meets the eye, and is spiritual cosmos leaping for the main character Martin. Martin has developed an alter ego in the shape of who he wants to be. Oblivious to his boring life until he is almost struck by a skyscraper window, shocks him into the dual personality and finaly the main character of Ron Rico. Captain Ron ... boss. Later in the film this alter ego latches onto another new boat owner as he pulls from the dock and has not released his line, pulling the cleat from its permanent attachment, and the alter ego is born again with the new outing. A classic to be watched over and over for the carribean scenery. Not to be taken too lightly.
