Movie review

From Time Out Film Guide

An exemplary documentary tracing the events leading to Carlo Giuliani's death during the Genoa anti-globalisation demonstrations of July 2001. Comencini makes persuasive use of archive video footage in her attempt to prove that the police panicked, shot and twice ran over the boy before contriving a cover-up, but what gives the film its emotional power, intellectual weight and dramatic force is having Giuliani's mother - lucid, logical and tearless, despite desolation at her loss and the establishment's secrets and lies - as the sole interviewee, charting Carlo's last hours and carefully assessing the evidence.
