Carrington VC (1954)
Director: Anthony Asquith
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Dorothy and Campbell Christie's stage success was the sort of trusted material to which British stalwart Asquith often turned his skills, and here the result's a typically well-acted courtroom drama lacking only the last ounce of sheer cinematic flair. Niven proves a little more involved than usual as a hard-up army officer, egged on by his unscrupulous wife Leighton, who determines to take the money owed him from the battery safe, then finds himself before a court-martial when his superiors refuse to speak up for him.Author: TJ
