Chances Are (1989)
Director: Emile Ardolino
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
This went direct to video in Britain, but as latter-day Hollywood romantic comedies go, it has a bit more style than you might expect. Downey displays a surprising lightness of touch as the teenager who visits his girlfriend's house and gradually comes to the complex oedipal realisation that he himself may be the reincarnated spirit of her mother's late husband. Don't you just hate it when that happens.Author: TJ
