The Christine Jorgensen Story (1970)
Director: Irving Rapper
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
A well-meaning if somewhat sanctimonious piece of claptrap about the first man to undergo a sex-change operation (in 1952). Although attempting a serious and sympathetic treatment of its subject, it confronts few of the real issues involved, and actor Hansen proves incapable of tackling the female part of his role.Author: DP

- Posted on Jun 27 2008 23:47 I have heard about this film and wondered how bad it was...well, Hollywood at work again. Christine wanted changes by the producer and director did their own thing. In contrast the A&E TV presentation of Christine was very informative and entertaining.
