Cinderfella (1960)
Director: Frank Tashlin
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
In a contemporary updating of the fairytale, Lewis plays a male Cinderella, treated as an all-purpose servant by his wicked stepmother and her two greedy sons in a vast mansion belonging to his late father. A hidden secret fortune, a fairy godfather, and a visiting foreign princess complete the mixture; but despite some extremely lavish set design and the occasional good sight gag, the overall effect is glutinous in the extreme. For hardcore fans and soft-centred infants only.Author: DT
