Or 'The Hairdresser's Apprentice': menial tyrannies and flights of fancy over a hot summer's day in a Rome barbershop. Sparkier (and of course slighter) than Gedeon's more mature work, this adaptation of an Alberto Moravia short story points to its maker's interest in jejune young romantics learning the reality of love and loyalty the hard way.Author: NB
