Boisset is a usually reliable second-line French director best known for his conspiracy thrillers Plot and Le Sheriff. This early policier is pretty rudimentary revenge stuff revolving around electoral gang w ar in Marseilles, perked up by a few neat incidentals. Yanne returns from Laotian retirement when his family is wiped out by Sbragia, accompanied by his comic-reading 'commandos', while American friend Hayden plays piggy in the middle.Author: PT
