Couch (1964)
Director: Andy Warhol
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Pre-Chelsea Girls Warhol, which means silent, black-and-white, fixed-angle stares at nothing very much. Actually, Couch is action-packed by the standards of most early Warhol: it comprises a series of takes of the couch itself, upon which persons in varying stages of undress enjoy carnal relations with each other in varying permutations. Much of it is gay. The print seen here, a dupe of a dupe, almost totally lacks visual definition: less orgasmic than protoplasmic.Author: TR
