The Counsellor (1973)
Director: Alberto De Martino
Movie review
From Time Out Film Guide
Lame Mafia movie made in San Francisco, but with a predominantly Italian cast dubbed into English. Weighty debts are owed to Bullitt (locations and car chases) and The Godfather (subject and theme). Balsam excepted, the gangsters are all reduced to wide-screen smiles and hostile eyes, which gives most of the cast the appearance of ventriloquists' dummies; and apart from some amusingly heavy-handed symbolism, there's little of consequence to note.Author:
